WATER FACTS ARE FUN!  HERE'S ONE:

There is the same amount of water on Earth as there was when the Earth was formed. The water from your faucet could contain molecules that dinosaurs drank.

TEDDY, THE TURTLE, was "born" in May 2000 after students of Cooper City Elementary School helped the District come up with the name for its new mascot.  Since then, Teddy has been on the go, making guest appearances at local schools and community events.  Have YOU spotted him yet?  Teddy’s image also appears on signs posted alongside several of the District’s secondary canals.

While it's a lot of fun seeing this friendly fellow making his rounds and bringing smiles to the faces of our citizens, he also plays a very important role at the District.  Teddy helps to get the message out to the community that there are many things that each of us can do to help improve the quality of our water resources and protect the Everglades watershed in which we live.

So, you’ve decided that you want to help Teddy in his mission, but still aren’t sure just how to do it?  Well, there are MANY simple things that you can do to help!  We invite you to explore TEDDY'S PAGES along with Central Broward Water Control District’s website to learn more . . .
